The Lem Tucker Speaker Series is an annual event honoring the exceptional accomplishments of Lemuel Tucker as a broadcaster and alumnus of Central Michigan University. The event focuses on promoting excellence in journalism and broadcasting.

The Lem Tucker Scholarship was created in memory of Lem Tucker for the contributions that he made as a journalist. Event sponsors and other contributions fund scholarship, research and creative activity to effect excellence in journalism.

The Lem Tucker Scholarship is awarded annually to a deserving student who wishes to pursue a career in print or electronic media. The recipient is awarded a renewable four year, full tuition scholarship.
